Tokyo Has Built The World's Best Subway

1.5M views · 5 years ago · explainer · dated

The B1M explains how Tokyo built its subway network, covering the engineering of the system and its stations. It looks at why the city's underground transit is held up as a model.

HN people share it as a great explainer when Japan's train and subway systems come up, and as a good rabbit hole after visiting Tokyo.
