Sprite Fright - Blender Open Movie

9.5M views · 5 years ago · animation · evergreen

Sprite Fright is a roughly ten-minute 3D animated short film made by Blender Studio and released as an open movie. It was made to push Blender development in the direction of real artists' needs.

HN people mention it as a fun short and a favorite Blender Studio film, and as an example of dogfooding the software.

I also don't think you should strongly consider watching any of them (and this is coming from a Blender fan), but they're all short films so if you have a few minutes to kill you may as well try watching one. I personally thought Sprite Fright was a fun watch (10m): ▶ this video
