Hypercard in the World, May 2016

12K views · 2 years ago · demo · intermediate · evergreen

A Dynamicland demo from May 2016 that carries HyperCard's idea of programmable cards into physical space. Paper cards in a room are recognised by cameras, linked together and given live, projected behaviour, with no screen or mouse.

HN keeps resubmitting it as a striking glimpse of a physical, communal alternative to screen-based computing, and it is the thing newer spatial-computing projects get compared to.
