RiftSketch: Hands, Leap Motions, birds, trees and tweets

28K views · 12 years ago · demo · intermediate · dated

Brian Peiris demonstrates RiftSketch, a live-coding environment in which he edits three.js scenes while wearing an Oculus Rift. He adds Leap Motion hand tracking and shows hands, birds, trees and tweets as the scene being built.

HN people were amazed by the demo of coding and manipulating a 3D scene from inside VR, and one says it drew them into Unity.

This is not my repo, so all creds go to the author: link But to reply to your question, what really amazed me a year a go was this demo: ▶ this video After watching that, I feel in love with all the possibilities that comes with interactions one can do with anything that is represented in a virtual 3D environment. So instead of learning Three.js, I started to work with Unity since they are multi-platform and have UnityScript which is a lot similar to Javascript. Due to my background as a web developer, it was a very comfortable transition.

I tried to submit to HN a cool video that I came across... ▶ this video I got the above message. Not a very good error message, it is not telling me what is wrong with my submission, is it a duplicate? or what? I am obviously not spamming HN, just wanted to share something cool.
